Glasgow’s St Enoch Station on the city’s subway network is approximately 20 yards from the entrance to IET Glasgow: Teacher Building and can be seen upon exit from the station (come out and turn right into St Enoch Place). Operates the vast majority of rail services in Scotland, including the Caledonian Sleeper between London and Scotland – usually travels into Glasgow Central Station.
West Coast Main Line rail services between London (Euston), the North West of England, North Wales and Scotland, mostly travels into Glasgow Central Station.

First run the bus network throughout Glasgow and the following lines run at least every 10 minutes from 0800 Monday to Friday (1000 Saturday) to the city and until 1900 from the city on most services. Stops are made on Argyle Street, which adjoins Jamaica Street, Howard Street and Osborne Street to access St Enoch Square and IET Glasgow: Teacher Building:
From Glasgow Queen Street: Come out of the station onto George Street with George Square ahead of you. Turn right and take Queen Street down and turn right onto Argyle Street. Take the first left onto Buchanan Street to meet St. Enoch Square and IET Glasgow: Teacher Building.
From Glasgow Central Station: Come out of the station onto Union Street. Walk straight down and turn left onto Argyle Street. Take the first road on the right into St Enoch square, where IET Glasgow: Teacher Building is on the right.
From the Thistle Car Park (corner of Howard Street and Jamaica Street): The car park is located directly behind IET Glasgow: Teacher Building and there are 2 access roads into St. Enoch Square from Howard Street.
From the North: Via the A82 and M8, exit junction 19
From the East: Via the M8, exit junction 19
From the South: Via the M74 and M8, exit junction 19
From the West: Via the M8, exit junction 19
To combat one of the city’s biggest challenges for a central venue, IET Glasgow: Teacher: Building has secured a special rate with the Jamaica Street 24 hour Car Park (corner of Howard Street and Jamaica Street) for all event bookers and delegates attending the venue.
All major UK airports fly to Glasgow Airport.
To reach IET Glasgow: Teacher Building on arrival, you are best to take a taxi from outside the terminal building into the City Centre (approx. 20 minute journey). Alternatively, there are frequent services to Glasgow city centre operated by Citylink and Fairline as a combined service 905. All services have drop off points at various locations in the city including close to Glasgow Central and Queen Street railway stations.
The nearest train station to Glasgow airport is Paisley’s Gilmour Street station, 2 miles from the terminal and easily reached by taxi. This takes you directly to Glasgow Central station where you can follow walking directions from above.
