Success at the UK Event Awards

IET Glasgow: Teacher Building picked up the award for ‘Best Small Hotel/Venue’ at the UK Event Awards on Friday night.

The awards recognise and reward the very best of Britain's events industry, and the venue’s win follows a three year programme of environmental improvement. Recent green measures included cutting gas and electric usage by 15%, obtaining Carbon Neutral Status and installing high-speed dedicated lines to encourage use of video-conferencing and reduce unnecessary travel for international delegates.”

“We’re delighted to have scooped the award for 'Best Small Hotel/Venue' on Friday night, after all the hard work we have put in to make both our venue and our customer’s events more environmentally friendly” said Justin Livesey, Venue Manager. “After securing the 'Best Small Venue' in Scotland award in 2010, now to be recognised throughout the UK is just the icing on the cake!”.

The evening kicked off on Friday 23rd November 2012 at The Emirates Stadium, London with a glamorous drinks reception followed by dinner, entertainment and the awards ceremony itself.

A Grade II listed building situated in Glasgow City Centre’s St. Enoch Square, IET Glasgow: Teacher Building offers a range of meeting spaces for events of all sizes.
